Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, a nationwide initiative to encourage bringing home the national flag to foster patriotic fervour, ahead of Independence Day celebrations in Puducherry. The Lt. Governor honoured the family of five freedom fighters. The dignitaries signed on the martyr memorial board on Goubert Avenue on the beach. Hon’ble Speaker R. Selvam, Legislative Assembly, Hon’ble Minister K. Lakshminarayanan, Public Works Minister, Government of  Puducherry, Hon’ble Minister Thiru. Sai J. Saravanan Kumar, Adi –Dravidar  Welfare  Minister, Thiru. Dr. Sharat Chauhan, Chief Secretary to Government and Thiru. A. Nedunchezhiyan, Secretary to Government (Culture) were among those who participated. Cultural performances on patriotism and National Unity were staged on this occasion.
