Under the program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Swatchta Campaiagn was conducted at Theed Harwan by Rural Development Department under Meri Mati, Mera Desh. The venue for the event near Panchayat Ghar Theed and the chief guest was : DDC Vice chairperson Srinagar. In addition, the Sarpanch , Panches of the Halqa, school students took part in the event . In the event , after the arrival of the chief guest at the venue , all the participants carried out a cleanliness drive in the Panchayat Halqa. The major highlight of the event was the cleaning of Water Bodies like Nallahs, Khuls, River etc. All the participants cleaned the debris around the water bodies by different equipment in their hands . The litter was also cleared at the site. In this activity , the locals also participated in the event. After this activity , the chief guest addressed the general public. In his address , he urged the general public to follow the ethics of cleanliness with letter and spirit so as to mark the golden year of 75 th year of Independence. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Village Level Worker at the venue. About more than 19 people participated in the event
